Over the years, El Rancho Loco has evolved into a complete breeding operation on a 140-acre Miniature Horse farm located within one hour of Houston, near Brenham, Texas. We are strictly a hands-on operation utilizing state of the art equipment to ensure safe foaling and effective young stock production, education and conditioning. This enormous undertaking cannot be accomplished alone, and we are so very privileged to have the wonderful help of Karen Childs and Crystal Reeve. Their constant attention to the horses is outstanding and heartfelt.
Our ongoing goal is to produce foals that typify the standard we all strive for: an elegant Miniature Horse blessed with all the physical and mental attributes of the best "big horses", concentrated in a small package. After many years of intense involvement with this wonderful breed, we are still enthusiastic and so grateful that Miniature Horses have become such a big part of our lives. We invite you to visit our farm anytime.

Our family's fascination with miniature horses began Christmas Day 1986 with a special gift - a miniature horse from my husband. His unique gift has truly "kept on giving", as that miniature horse and many more since then have provided a host of wholesome activities for our family. These horses have given all of us a sense of enjoyment and accomplishment as well. Our three children (now grown) have learned many lessons from showing their horses and caring for the foals born each spring.
We became so captivated by these affectionate, beautiful animals that we began developing a quality herd. With the advice and direction of our Farm Manager, James "Tuffy" Acton, we have created a carefully monitored and highly successful breeding program and excellent facilities reflecting our commitment to offer the finest American Miniature Horses available. Our consistently outstanding show record underlines our focus on producing elegant, refined miniatures of proven heritage.

MCC Farms was founded in the hills of wildflowers outside Brenham, Texas, in 1993. The farm began with 9 Miniatures Horses in 1993. In 1994, following the purchase of the 9 Miniatures, plus a few more, Felix and Joyce, moved to a renovated barn near Brenham to begin life in the country. By July of the first year, a new barn was built, fences were in place and more Miniature Horses were purchased. To extend our love of exquisite horses and country life, the importation of ten Caspian horses was accomplished in early 1995.
Today MCC Farms is home to more than 150 miniature horses, including Fire & Ice, and National Grand Champion Senior Stallion, Skip a Star. It is also home to many other major bloodlines in the Miniature industry including, Buckeroo, Egyptian King, Rowdy, Sugar Boy, Boogerman, Rhotens Little Dandy, Dels Cowboy, Dippers Duffy, Peppy Power, and Orion Light Vant Huttenest.
The Caspian Horses at MCC Farms number over 110. Over half of this number were bred and born on the farm. Of the bloodlines known in the Caspian history, MCC Farms feels fortunate to have a representative from each of the bloodlines that remain. We had the first Caspian born in the United States, as well as the first mare bred and foaled in the United States.
As noted by the numbers and quality of our horses, we are proud to say we support and continue a very strong breeding program with our Miniature Horses and with the Caspian Horse. The farm consists of over 200 acres with show barns and state of the art breeding facilities.
MCC Farms is proud of the Stallions currently stand at stud. They include National Champions and sons of National Grand Champions.
